Canon FD Mount

I have a bunch of nice Canon FD primes that were left to me by my Grandfather. Will a conversion mount like the Rayqual Micro 4/3 Lens Adapter work on the AF100? I'm assuming that it will since it works on the G1. Will the distance from the lens element to the sensor be correct? In reading different blogs on this conversion, I get conflicting opinions, some saying that the lens won't go to infinity with the converter. As an old film guy, the manual focus and aperture is just fine with me, but I'd like the lens to work as designed - I'm a tape measure type when it comes to focus. Any other conversion mounts you'd recommend?
Thanks.

I've tried several FD - m43 adapters, and finally settled on the Novoflex version. It's the only one that gave me accurate infinity focus on all my lenses, and also fitted perfectly so that once mounted to the camera, I didn't need to remove the adapter to change lenses. It's the most expensive one for sure($212), but you get what you pay for!

Thanks. Just the information I needed. Since the lenes were free, the cost of the adapter doesn't seem bad!

Go with Novoflex, without doubts. It is well machined and accurate. Furthermore, FD mount is one of the best among manual lenses mount, because it is rock solid and has absolutely no play, so no risk of image shifting when you focus, even with long focal lenghts

Yes I came across a guy on the forum yesterday using an adapter that wouldnt focus at inifinity (which undoubtedly means other focal lengths will be off as well) - Ive also seen people praising the same adapter he was using.

Its very important when you get an adapter to test the focal lengths are accurate. Im glad I got the novoflex, havent heard any issues as yet from it or from people using voigtlander.

Another + for the novaflex.
I tried several other in the $20-50, but they were bad mechanical fits.
I too have a collection of Canon FD's 24, 35, 85mm and they look awesome with the AF100!

Convinced me. Just ordered one (novoflex). I've got a nice collection from my days shooting on a Canon AE1. Hopefully I'll get word from Abel Cine this week about a ship date for my camera!

Anyone have any suggestions for one of the cheaper ones? I have a 50mm fd that I would like to mess around with mainly on my GH2 but also on my AF100, but I will mainly be using Zeiss Primes (nikon mount) and EF lenses, so a $200 adapter for a lens that I am just going to mess around with is a little over kill.

Hey Noel, Where did you get your Novoflex in Aus or US and how much did you pay? Thanks

Hi all,
I'm pretty new here so first let me thank you all for the info I gained in this forum. It's great!

I ordered the novoflex from BHP for 220$. It will arrive tomorrow and as soon as I will put my hands on it I will tell you how it performs with my fd glasses, but I'm sure it will be good since I read so many positive reviews.
