Mount adapter for attaching EF mount full frame lenses to EOS C70

Canon’s innovative new EF – RF optical adapter, the Mount Adapter EF-EOS R 0.71x, converts light transmission from full-frame to the Super 35mm image format. It extends the angle of view and optical sensitivity, while seamlessly integrating with the camera’s optical corrections. This unit greatly expands the list of compatible lenses by including Canon’s renowned line of EF lenses.


In addition to the flanges of the RF mount, four screws securely attach the adapter to the EOS C70 camera. Once mounted, the adapter maintains a similar angle of view of your full frame lenses on the Super 35mm sensor, while boosting the speed of the attached lens. The adapter also carries all EF information through to the RF contacts, so, on certain EF lenses*, full DPAF and metadata will be available with EOS C70 camera, working much as they do on a native EF mount.

Hi Rob,

I am expecting that Canon will add the C70 to the same 0% & 1.99% leasing programs offered for every other Canon Cinema EOS product.

In the past, new Cinema EOS products are added to the Leasing Promos bulletins upon the initial shipping date which is the end of November for the Canon C70.

If you apply today for a new C70 lease through Canon Financial Services, the lease approval is good for 90 days.

Any Canon branded accessory can be bundled using the promotional lease rate. None-Canon items would be charged interested.

Local Taxes & Insurance are additional.

I just bought a Canon C70 from Texas Media Systems with the control ring adapter.

What memory cards are recommended? I don't see any 512 GB available in V90 with from what I've gather V90 is best for the C70. I see AngelBird ($350), Delkin ($429), ProGrade ($215), and Kingston ($193) have 256 GB V90 cards. What's best?

I don't think 512GB V90 SDXC Cards exist yet.

The Delkin Black 256GB V90 SDXC work well with the C70 cameras that we have sold.

Delkin's 48 hour replacement guarantee and customer service is very good. Delkin has very proactive about taking care of customers that needed cards replaced or had firmware updating issues.

If you already have V90 cards, you should be fine.
 
The Delkin is twice the cost of the ProGrade. Is it really that much better and how so? Warranty and replacement capability is not as important to me as reliability.
