I bought this lens with a 5d Mark II less than 2 months ago. Also included is the double coated 77mm Hoya UV filter I bought at the same time as the camera/lens, which has been on the lens since I took it out of the box. Also the lens bag and hood which came with it are included. Lens is in mint condition. I am selling this lens to pay for a few primes.

Lens retails for $1199 new on B&H. Filter was $49.35

I'll sell the lens and filter together for $920 (which is a savings of $328.35/26% over buying new and I've only had it for 7 weeks), or best offer. I would also be willing to make a trade for primes, Nikon or Canon. I'm up for an even swap, or trade plus cash depending on the primes.

intersted . i have nikon primes , 24mm 2.0, 28mm 2.0 35mm 1.4, 52mm 1.2, 120mm 2.8 three slick ff rings from shoot 35. 360 degee .

Just an update on the prime I'm looking for. After a lot of research, I've decided to take whatever money I make from the 24-105 lens I'm selling in this thread and put it towards the Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM Autofocus Lens I've been lusting after.

So, this is really the only lens I would want to do a swap plus cash trade for. This lens takes some amazing, silky smooth, razor sharp stills. Like Buttuh.

The kicker is that my wife is a photographer and so I have some nice nikon primes at my disposal already. Too bad most of her lenses are Nikkor G lenses where the Nikon camera controls the aperture with electronics. :(

Oh well. Just an excuse to buy my 85 1.2.

For the time being I've decided to hang on to the lens. The 85 1.2 I was going to get is more than I should spend on glass right now, so I'm going to pick up the 85 1.8 for about $350 (almost $1700 less than the 1.2) and keep the 24-105 for a full frame walking around lens that gives me options for wide angle or zoomed in shots.

I have read many times that the 85 1.8 is about 90% of the 85 1.2 outside of completely wide open.

The L has magic, but I would not go for the $1,700 difference either.
