[WTB] Canon 80-200mm f/2.8L "Magic Drainpipe"

[Bugler]

I've been looking for one of these for a while. Hopefully someone here has one for me! I'm looking to spend <$500 for it. I'd like it to have all accessories. The caps, hood and tripod collar.

Thanks!

I sold mine in 1995 and I don't think I've even seen one in the wild since about that time.
Is there a specific reason you want one of these?

I've read nothing but good things. In my price range it's either this or the 70-200 f4 but everything I've heard suggests that this is a better lens.

i own the nikon d series 80-200 f2.8 - superb lens. very sharp wide open. could be an alternative to the canon version. i think i paid 560 euros for it...

a test i did some time ago: https://vimeo.com/63007235

I'm actually using it for still photography and it'll be going on my canon 1ds so I'm going to have to stick with the canon version. Thanks though, looks like a great lens!

I'm willing to up my budget to $600ish for a good example of this lens.

There's a Canon forum where you might have good luck in the wanted section http://photography-on-the.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=88
