Just want to know, should I get Glidecam HD-2000 or HD-1000 if I am planning to put these on the rig:

1. cuma 7D +
2. Tamron 17-55 +
3. Rode Videomic

The last time I borrowed someone's else HD-2000, I found it is difficult to balance with my D5000 (+ lens kit). When I used the HD-2000 with my Sony HDR-FX1, it flies smoothly and took me less than 15 mins to balance it the first time.

I am just curious whether this time around my DLSR rig would fit better on HD-1000 due to its weight to camera ratio is closer compared to HD-2000.

Thanks in advance for everything guys.

I'm not a pro with steadicams, but I do have a glidecam 4000 pro with the vest and arm.

Having all the accessories you probably want to go with the HD 2000.

Another consideration - shooting with a zoom lens that telescopes maybe affect the the balancing easily.
