canon 7d -can i disable the agc? is there firware for that

deciding between the jucedlink 231 or the 454...the 454 has agc disable control on it-as the 231 does not..right?..or can u disable the canon7d agc?

no you cannot disable on the 7d - and no firmware fix for that yet

personally im waiting on the firmware fix.

I found that by running a rode videomic into h4n, and then out to 7D i can play with levels to get minimal hum sound.

Not perfect, but i always have my source audio files on the h4n to rely on if i get in a hairy situation.

Hoping that workflow can tide me over till the actual firmware fix.

Do you think that would work the same with a 550D?
