I am selling my 4-month old: Canon 70-200mm L II f/2.8 USM Telephoto Zoom lens, a high-end B+W 77mm Clear UV Haze Lens with Multi-Resistant Coating, (and adding a Battery Grip in perfect condition, that fits a 5D Mark III) ---> I am selling the combo for: $1850.00 FIRM.
I was a professional photographer for many years, until I disabled my hip which will now need surgery. So I am parting with much of my equipment.
In all the years I have photographed, I have yet to see, or use, a better lens than the Canon 70-200mm L II f/2.8 USM lens. It is without doubt, the clearest and cleanest picture, with the best bokeh I have ever seen, and the single most handy lens Canon ever made. It's almost impossible to take a bad picture with it. This is the II lens, not the I lens. It comes in the original box, along with the lens, lens collar tripod ring, front/rear cap, lens hood, full heavy-duty pouch bag, and a top high-end B+W 77mm Clear UV Haze with Multi-Resistant Coating (010M).
I looked on all of Craigslist to see what the lenses alone are selling for, and $1850.00 - $1900.00 seems to be the average. Though you can buy one new and go through the rebate process (in which Canon does not give money or a check back, but a canon rebate card to buy other Canon products). You will also have to pay approximately $150-$200 in tax if you buy new (as I found out), so it brings the price right back up.
With mine, you will see it is in as new condition as if you bought it new. Both the lens and the B+W Clear UV haze, score a perfect 5 for 5 on Amazon. If you look at the reviews on dpreview.com or kenrockwell.com, you'll see they give it their best rating. The B&W 77mm Clear UV Haze has a Brass Ring for higher Quality Image, Highest possible polishing technique, the world's best optical glass, a new thinner Pro mount, and no vignetting. The best for the best.
Throwing in a perfect condition Battery Grip for a Canon EOS 5D MARK III ---- Replaces the BG-E11
Perfect Condition. Less than a year old. Comes with:
- 1 x BG-1J Battery Grip for Canon EOS 5D MARK III
- 1 x Battery Holder for 6x AA batteries (batteries not included)
So please Note: I will NOT be taking other offers at all. No trades, no "would you take $$$ for it...", etc ... The price is an absolute firm $1850.00. I used mine on my Canon 5D III (mostly weddings and receptions), and it was a match made in heaven. The best Canon lens made. You will NOT be disappointed.
Thank You!
