I would really like to know which one had more sales - 5DII or DVX100(A/B)?

And what would the sales figures tell you? That one is a stills camera sold to a much larger audience, while the other is a broadcast video camera sold to a much narrower audience? No doubt the 5DII sold more units than the DVX, as well it should. Its market was a much larger market.

They wouldn't tell me anything..just curious because I don't know of any other cameras that were as popular as these two..

Though Canon may be getting rid of it, right now It's still available- Adorama has them for $1529 if you add to cart. That's a fantastic price for what is still a very good camera.

About time!

Nah, I love it. My last camera's been haunting me though... sold it online and when the guy came to pick it up it didn't start... in for a 150 usd repair, only to get it back as "fully functional"... then sold it again, internal mic broken and seller wanting 500 usd back... I gave him 300 feeling relieved I never have to see that camera again....

Actually my very first 5dmk2 had issues aswell, overheated when recording video. oh well.... RIP a fantastic stills camera, and a kinda cool video camera.

I think it would be interesting to really look at the impact of these two cameras.

The DVX was popular b/c it offered 24p at about a 75% lower price point of a SDX900. Panasonic made an intentional DV camera for indie "film-makers" with lots of features that were needed / desired by users, & it became a very successful camera.

The 5DII was popular b/c it offered large chip / interchangeable lens camera at about 90% lower price point of a Red One. Canon made an accidental "cinema" camera that had a lot of challenges out of the gate (24p vs 23.97, ACG, no headphone, etc.), but was still extremely successful.
