Canon 5D MK3 video spec?

From the post on CanonRumors this morning it looks like the 5D3 or what ever it will be called is not going to come out until the 2nd of March.

Mon. or Tues will be something else. I'm guessing a 22mpixel T4i that will be able to do lower bit rate 4k :)

Cheers,
Pete

I also see a headphone cover next to the mic cover, my eyes are not that good either. we'll see, 2 more days, can't wait.

there's an enlarged image later on in the thread: definitely headphones, which is good news because it shows it's (at least somewhat) video-oriented

I too am thinking of the 5D or the Nikon 800 for mostly stills and some night time-lapse or low-light work. For video, I prefer the Gh2 hands down but I need more of a faster DSLR for stills and some video work... Got to have a different tool for a different job.

The one thing that leads me to think more about the Nikon is the lenses. So much more versatile mount than the Canon and I can use them for the AF100 and other cameras... The canon stuff is just a lot harder to adapt and the lenses are also much more expensive...

The only Canon lenses I own or use on my MK2 are a couple of 90's era cheap zooms I use for stills (vacation, that kind of thing). Studio photography and video I use all adapted lenses.

Thanks for the confirmation about using manual Nikon F lenses on a "5DM3" via an adapter.

Here's hoping the 5DM3 has a headphone jack (as possibly indicted by today's pics), a decent codec, and clean 1080p "normal" live HDMI out!
