Edit: Example pictures in 2nd post...
READ ME:
I bought this camera new and had maxmax.com modify the sensor to UV monochrome only for an embarrassing amount of money (extra $2500!
rogar-KnockedOut(D) The process involves a total camera disassemble and removal of the CFA and new filter installed. Now this camera not ONLY sees in monochrome- it also sees UV ONLY monochrome- unless you add a pola on the lens which makes it see IR (Black Sky, White trees and grass).
Why did I have this modification done and why am I selling it?
I had this modification done after looking at UV only portraits which I fell in love with the look of and just couldnt seem to replicate without a UV camera (freckles REALLY stand out, skin looks more imperfect, weathered, just a whole new look) so I decided to go for it and get the best camera I could think of modified at the time, which was the 5dm3! That way I could not only use it for portraiture but also for great video thanks to ML.
Why am I selling it?
I really dont want to, its so unique and cost me so much more than ill get out of it reselling it, but I am in the middle of a move and have to part with some stuff- some of which I dont want to. I figured there might be someone out there who was as interested in UV and IR photography as I am and might like to have one of the best cameras out there that do this sort of thing.
Does the camera function normally?
Yes. Everything works as a normal Canon 5D mark 3, other than the fact that this camera only takes Monochrome UV or IR pictures.
What kind of pictures does it make?
Here is an album of a roadtrip I took where you can see a bit of what this camera is capable of, the portraits are UV only and the landscapes are in IR:

For further research, do a google search for "UV only pictures"
Comes with 1x OEM battery and Charger
Asking $2000 obo!
