Canon 5d Action Sports Demo Reel

Two thoughts…

It shouldn't take almost a minute to get to the action sports on an "action sports reel."

And you may like the treatment of how you dripped paint on your name, but cutting back to it a few times interrupts the flow of your reel. Keep the name "plate" for the front and end only.


But some nice stuff in there.
 
I second stephenmick. I was also wondering when the sport part is finally starting. Not sure if i would call it actionsportreel with just one sport? (or maybe two)
otherwise nice editing though, but yeah, keep your introduction in front.
 
^I somewhat agree too. Your cutting is great, as well as the music. I'd cut it down to 60seconds and pull out only the best sports shots you have. Leave them wanting more.

I'd ditch the road/car driving footage adn flowers. Just stick to the extremes! ;)

Just keep about 10s of the painty metal title where it shows your full name, then maybe use the red dotted title at the end.

As a 3D animator I've watched two weeks of work reduced to 5 seconds. Kill your darlings.
 
You might want to think about registering the domain name pwieland.com and redirecting it to your main domain name since that is what I typed in after I watched this video instead of partrickwieland.com. I did this by mistake even though you had the correct address at the end but it was because you had spent so much time showing the name pwieland in this demo video.

pwieland.com was still available when I checked.
