Canon 24-70mm -- IS NO I.S. A PROBLEM????

Hey guys-- I'm about to buy a 5d and a few lenses for it (I already have the 7d and a bunch of lenses for that). I wanted a zoom that was the equivalent of my 17-55efs for my 7d which I love and was looking into the 24-70 2.8, but from what I can tell it doesn't have IS. I do a lot of handheld work in all of my projects (using the red rock stubling stabilizer usually). Will this be a problem? Is the 24-105 f4 a better call even if its not as fast???

any help is much appreciated. thanks

I own a 24-70 2.8 and a 70-200 2.8 both without IS and they work great for me. I use them strictly on a Redrock support system and off of a tripod and I have had no issues. Hope that helps.

Awesome!!! great news. Are there any other full frame zooms worth looking at before I buy the 24-70? doesn't tamron/sigma make one?
