1DC: Canon 1D X MK II HDMI output

Does the Canon 1D X Mark II full HD HDMI output a DCI scaled image?
Has anyone used the camera with a Zacuto Gratical or smallHD 502 or 501 with the SideFinder?
 
have you found the downscaled 4K out the HDMI to be sharper than the native 1080P on the 1DXII? Just curious about how well the camera does its downscaling in camera.

Marvin - would you say it's even sharper than shooting 4K DCI and downscaling in post?

I'm always leery of non-integer scaling and that's what it's doing with leterboxing. I would almost rather shoot 4K internally, and then crop the sides off and scale in post. Curious your opinion.

I'd say it's comparable, the HDMI output from 4K is sharp without visible aliasing, whatever the scaling method is the quality is pretty good.
