The 2/3 inch lens mount was removed from a Panasonic camera and mounted on the front of a Nikon 2X extender, that's where the Canon video lens was mounted. On the 2x extender the nikon mount was removed and replaced with a Leica to Panasonic adapter cut to the correct length so that the lens would focus on the GH-1 correctly from tele to wide without loosing focus. This is critical, because it has to have the proper focal distance to the sensor in order to focus correclty.
This was tricky and it took a great deal of time in order to get it right. Once the micro 4/3rd was cut, then I had to figure out how to mount the adapter to the end of the 2X extender. Once that was done it all worked great. I dont recommend this mod unless you're a little crazy like I am and have some decent tools. The lens was never compromised because all I had to do was remove the servo, zoom handle held in place by 4 screws. The lens mounts onto the 2x extender the same way it mounts on the 2/3 inch camera.
