Guys has anyone used these macro lenses and can compare the is/os for video. Does sigma give the same amount of stabilization as the canon?

Hmm...i've used both of these lenses a few times. Optically the Canon is better, both are good. The sigma feels cheaper and the OS in the sigma is more "shifty" or "stuttery" if that makes sense. This is going off memory, I've never really compared too closely.

No idea about the IS, but here's an optical comparison: the-digital-picture
(they test a single copy of each lens, so maybe they got a bad Canon and a good Sigma, who knows; they both are really great, in any case)

Thanks everyone. The is was mine concern as the image quality seems to be great on both lenses...even some say sigma is statistically slightly better. but that is not importnant, since my eyes are not as great as the software which calculate those lol

It is generally safer to go with the more expensive ones and in this case canon seems to be the safe option specially because of the proven record of its is.
