Cannot get uv filter off

Ok so i have been trying for about 15 minutes now to unscrew my uv filter from my 100b. and the thing is just not coming off? any suggestions? or should I just keep trying what im doing?
 
What do you mean if won't come off? Is it stuck? Or do you just keep turning it and turning it and it won't come off?
 
sry, i mean...it seems like i screwed it in too tight or something (i may have but i dont remember screwing it any harder then any other time). And now i try to rotate it and it just does not budge.
 
Try carefully taking your lens hood off. That should make it a little easier to get at your UV filter.
 
ya see thats what i was thinking...but im nervous..ive never done that before...but i guess i should give it a shot
 
Just be careful and don't force anything. You should be fine. If you have any questions, that's what we're here for.

Best to pry it off with a big flat head screw driver. :D












It's easy, just back out the thumbscrew and rotate the hood counter clockwise if you're facing the lens. No big deal.
 
gah...should've seen the cleaning kit coming...is it really that bad to use windex? ( i have a microfiber cloth somewhere round here) obviously only for this one time (im short on time)
