Just bought a pix 240i and was attempting to send an embedded HD SDI signal into the recorder, but it seems the F3 is not outputting the audio side of the signal. Searched other threads and it seems that the camera does output an embedded audio HD SDI signal. Been through the manual and waited for a sony tech but have not been able to get through. Anyone else experience such an issue or know a way to go about resolving this problem without sending the camera in for repair. I have checked all the setting on the 240i, activating the SDI side to receive audio via the SDI port and am pretty sure all the settings on the F3 are correct. I would check with a monitor or other device if there's audio from either the A SDI or normal SDI output. I use A SDI to my Shuttle 2 and get audio recorded.

When you simultaneously record to the SxS cards, are you getting audio?
I figured it out, just had to adjust the setting in the dual link to get the audio out of the A side. Thanks for all the help.
