Cannot enter GH1 Service mode

Hi, Sorry I searched and could not find post with this issue

just got Gh1 today
serial: WE0F001247
FW 1.3
Have not tried Hacking yet, but I'm assuming it is likely to fail now.

I cannot enter service mode, is this normal?
I tried turning on with a SD card (formatted in camera) with single shot switched and also holding "film mode" and Display*

it just turns on like it usually does.

am I doing somthing wrong of is service mode now blocked?

I don't see why you should not be able to hack it.
Just try to make the hacked version GH1__135

tvampel, I guess you haven't been around for a while. Firmware V1.34 is closed firmware version that blocks PTool patching. The highest confirmed "good" S/N for GH1 Made in China is WE0FD001083

Hi. Turn off camera

Make sure that there is a card in it.

Make sure that the shot frequency mode lever is set to 'single'

Press and hold 'Film Mode' and 'Display'

Turn on camera, still holding down Film Mode & Display

Continue holding the above, count to 5

Release Film Mode & Display

Press the 'Set' button in the centre of the arrow pad, and the Left hand arrow key (press them simultaneously - usually best using one finger to cover both buttons.

Continue to hold the above.

Press 'Film Mode' button twice.

Voilà - you're in the service menu - the exact f/w version is the third field down.

To exit:

Press the 'Set' & L/H arrow button, and hold as described previously.

Press 'Film Mode once.

That takes you back to the normal menu.
