Hello to all,
After discovering this hack last night and seeing all the mouth watering footage, I purchased a hackable GH1 today!
Light gradation and color depth.
These are the two most important aspects to me, and none of the higher mega pixel DSLR have impressed me in the regards (more mega-pixels are not always better!). That's why I picked up the Nikon D300S at 720p 12MP (bigger pixels = better gradation).
It's tough to explain to people why I picked up a 720p camera over the 5D/7D... I just stopped trying.
I always imagined and dreamed up ways of trying to capture raw footage off of a 12MP DSLR, and you guys have pretty much done this in spades. All I can say is...

I will continue drooling over the footage as I wait for my camera.
