Cannot connect HVX to PC

I installed the new firmware and works fine, the only problem I have is that I cannot get the HVX to connect to my PC via USB. I downloaded the latest P2 drivers but when it comes to install the USB driver of the hvx it doesn't recognise that the camera is actually connceted! Am I doing something wrong! or maybe need a special king of usb cable? .... i want to start downloading the contents of the P2 card to my PC (running windows Xp)
 
Try putting the cam in dub mode - hold the MCR button on the back of the cam for about 3 seconds, the screen will turn blue and say somehting like 'connect usb' then 'usb connected'.
