Cannonball - feature shot on DVX (new trailer)

Looks very well shot. But it seems to me the look of the film doesn't match the content. The look is super clean, almost sterile. But the movie is a light comedy? Also, the trailer seems to shift from light fun into something like a slasher film? Maybe it's just the trailer that's confusing me. Forgive me if this sounds harsh, just trying to give my honest opinion.

The lead actor is very good, though.

it's like bottle rocket meets the starlit ritual. sort of.

first congratulations on completing it. that's always the tough part. i had the same reaction as Paul, only for me the comedy and music is so clearly derivative of Wes Anderson that no matter how funny it is, it's never going to stand out as an original work. just my worthless 2¢.

Hey there,

This was a well made trailer, and the film looks and sounds pretty interesting from what I can see. I didn't fully know what to think about the end of that trailer, but the whole thing stood out as being really cool and there are some great shots in there.

Congratulations for completing your feature, and I do look forward to hearing more about this film.

Nice job.

I like the shot of the guy running on the lawn from though the window. Let the ball bounce another time after he says 'we're going to mexico'.
