Can you use both record trigger over SDI from the FS700, *and* jam time code into the Convergent Design Odyssey 7Q from an external time code box? (such as a Tentacle Sync, or any of the many other options)
Or in other words, can the Odyssey 7Q take *only* the record trigger (so it knows when to start/stop) from the FS700, but take the actual time code that the Odyssey 7Q uses from the external source instead (such as a Tentacle Sync).
As if so, this would be an idea solution for keeping accurate time code with the FS700! (although why on earth did Sony never simply designe the FS700 in the first place to receive time code.... :-/ )
