Can you format P2 Cards on this? Panasonic AJ-PCD2GPJ

I don't own this card reader but I am wondering if I can format cards with this?

Anyone have experience or know what can be done?

I haven't used it, but I think it's just a reader, so you wouldn't format the cards by the reader itself, you'd format them using the computer that the reader is attached to.

I'm new to P2, but I heard you should format in the camera to avoid any problems with the cam not recognizing the card. That being said, if you have a card reader you can use a windows or mac computer to format the card.
