Can the FS100 do 1080p 4:2:2 slow motion? Or is it always 4:2:0 ?

Not many external recorders accept 50/60p over HDMI, as it's usually a hardware limitation. I'm guessing the Atomos Shogun will be able to accept it. The Odyssey 7/7Q should be able to do it via Hdsdi (by means of a 3rd party HDMI to Hdsdi converter in the chain) when they enable prores support >30fps. At least until/if they upgrade the HDMI spec to accept >30fps when they support HDMI2.0.

I have to do my slomotion on the SD card my Ninja does not accept it, its limiting, however its has to be shot in camera without the fix it in post mentality. Which I mean is get it exposed well and lit properly as the results can be quite rubbish. Twixtor is helpful once you have brought the footage in, but as long as you know the limitations you can work around it.

The FS100's 50p and 60p capture is most certainly full 1080. I have captured some very sharp shots at these speeds that are most definitely not 720p upscaled!
The HDMI port does output 1080 50p / 60p, as long as the option is enabled. Might even be 4:4:4 capable, but not sure.

It can do 60p 4:2:2, but no external recorders will do it as of now, so in a way no it doesn't do it! Wait for the shogun.
The difference will be identical to the difference between internal 24p AVCHD and external 24p, which is very very minimal. I wouldn't pay for a shogun just for the 4:2:2 60p, internal is very good and pretty close anyway. The shogun has many other attractions though besides unlocking the 60p 4:2:2 on the FS100, like 3D LUT support, state-of-the-art calibrated 7 inch monitor, SSD recording, peaking/waveform/zebras/falsecolour etc, all in a very sleek small design. I would love to have one on the hotshoe of all my cameras actually.
