Can the DVX clone tape and timecode

Is it possible to clone a tape from one DVX to another including timecode? I'm trying to make a backup of an important master, but the timecode from one to the other must match frame to frame. Has anyone tried this? Is this possible?

I've gone through the manual, but I'm a little confused and I searched the forum for this topic but couldn't find anything relevent.

I'm pretty sure a firewire to firewire transfer would also transfer the TC. Just give it a try and see. Record a minute or two and playback and check.
 
Basically no other camera can do it (they always regenerate new timecode). However, the DVX is one camera that *can* clone the timecode. Look for 1394 TC REGEN in the manual (I think that's what it's called). One option will clone the timecode, the other will generate new timecode.
