first of all the lettering... it looks very pixelated and weird.. It looked that way when I was editing it but I figured youtube would fix it, (as it has before with other text.)

and one more weird thing I found very strange about shooting with my dvx.
the red wine in the glass is also pixelated/blocky.. I don't know if you guys can tell from this picture but you could deff tell by the unedited and uncolored footage. color correction fixed it, but I found it very weird that this occurred.

Any reds will have trouble with the dv codec. I think pure red is problematic in all ntsc video.

yow brett that grab looks bad ass! will we get to see the final product?....

edit:my bad...didnt see the link...gonna watch it now

haha its not as bad ass as the still shot.. it was kindof just a parody of Max Payne, that really didnt turn out too well. haha

the grading and the look i like. some blown out stuff but its fine. the acting is the shady part...and they way all of them hold the guns and shoot are not very believable.

luved how that assault rifle (whatever kins it was :) ) sounded in the forest. excellent. that was real ? thats one of the best ive heard comparable to "heat" which to me has the best guns ive heard in a film to date.

yeah the sound was real sound captured from my AR15.
like I said this was a parody from the video game Max Payne, and pretty much based
from it which is really unreal and silly. but thanks for the review!

EDIT: Oh and the acting... ha thats what sucks, we arent actors atall, just a few friends that love to make movies.

friends or not that was really good! as well as the acting... now how in the world do you get such good results with quality?...
that looks as good as hd.. you make me sick with your results. ha

what do u edit on? I use the same results i think i gave u a link to once. maybe i didnt? i cant remember...but here's it http://eugenia.gnomefiles.org/images/cs4.jpg ...thats for cs3/cs4. tell me what u edit on and i'll see if i can source an export settings link for that program...cuz i think where i got this there were more articles.

also youtube will kill ur quality...i;ve gotten ok results with them but vimeo is better. use vimeo and export like that (above) for HD (or fake HD i guess).

thanks for the comments. Cant wait till u get to shoot that film witht he abandoned building.

I didnt say this in my previous comment but i really liked alot of the shots in ur film. from memory at the moment i remeber i like that start and how u used the foreground and backround...and i like the running/chasing shots through the woods.

thanks man. well ive been using a program called Speededit from Newtek. its a good program but some friends of mine have been telling me i need to change, so I downloaded adobe premiere and sony vegas trials to see if I liked either one of those.. I am just so used to speededit that I cant really change over.. btw the film with the hotel is actually our upcoming feature that should be coming out hopefully in March.

lol....yow brett...i thoroughly enjoyed that! some nice shots in this one 2. And the first kill def surpirsed me..him looking like the leader and all bad ass...then boom, hes the first to go LOLOL. u def have a flair for this. are all those real guns? looks like u need to start earlier though...u lost the light.

Hows u do those effects?

lol thanks man. the only gun that was real once again was the AR15 lol.
the effect was done with after effects using one of andrew kramers new
tutorials on his site over at videocopilot.net yupp we definetely lost light
WAY too quick, it gets dark over here so quick, and it was only 6pm....
