FS7: Can someone share an XAVC clip from FS5 or FS7?

Can someone provide an XAVC-L or XAVC-I 4K clip from the FS7 or FS5 so I can test it in my NLE (CS6)?

i've uploaded a zip-file with a complete card from the FS7 here:

The name is "FS7 2160-50p slog3-SGamut XAVCi-XAVC-l.zip"

You can try to import the card directly to your NLE. I use FCPX, works great with that.
It's just 2 short clips from my office www.kameramann-bodensee.com ;-)

You can download a couple of samples of XAVC from our website. F5/55 XAVC is identical to the FS7 XAVC if you want some more.

Just seen this. XAVC that the Sony FS5 or FS7 uses is a codec that CS6 does not support natively. Support arrived with CC after Adobe made CS6 EOL :-(.

I have the FS5 (XAVC-L), CS6 and CC. You would have to transcode the clip to something else that CS6 can work with.

It's the .MXF files I need to import, correct? No special import procedure?
CS6 says error trying to import.
Looks like you are correct andy.

I also tried to import the MXF files in Sony Vegas 12 Pro. I thought it would work but it also gave an error.
I'm assuming they work in Vegas 14?

In FCPX i import the whole card, the program recognizes the clips. That's why i uploaded the whole card with all it's structure. Perhaps that could work for you.

Looks like CS6 will not import them any which way.
However I was able to open the clips with Sony Catalyst and transcode them and they still looked really good.
