I would really appreciate feedback here.

Without connecting your HVX to anything, set 1394 Host mode. After the blinking 1394 Host display, are all of your menu options available to you; Format HDD, P2 Slot, Verify etc. Or is just the "Verify" option available.

When Im in this mode, only the "verify" option is available to me. Im just trying to figure out if the camera needs to be hooked up to a HDD for the other options to become highlighted

So I guess a HDD needs to be connected in order for the "Format HDD" option becomes available.

Anyone else use the Western Digital HDD? Mine is the 320GB.
