Can someone help this morning?

Hello to all!

Slight problem this morning...
At the end of my project, I froze the video using the snapshot function of Vegas, then did a slow fade-out. When I rendered the project as MPEG2, DVD Arch, widescreen, the video is fine until it gets to the freeze. The frozen frame jumps to a smaller size than the video.

It was all rendered the same way...why is it smaller than the video?
How can I make it the same size?

Thanks very much for any help, I have to show this video later today.

hmmm...still having the same problem...maintain aspect ratio is definately on, and video does not jump when played in Vegas (pre-render)...after rendering as MPEG2, DVD arch, widescreen, it jumps...

any other ideas?

thanks.

On my timeline, my video before the still has no letterboxing around it... and looking at the still on the timeline, it has letterboxing around it.

I don't understand why they are different-looking on the timeline, when I just made a still of that last frame of the video. And why does it play back smoothly in Vegas and then jumps after the render?

Thanks for the help.

On the motion footage de-select "maintain ascpect ratio". Take another still of your last frame and save it with the same file name as before, effectively replacing your first still. They should match.

maybe instead of a snapshot, use a Velocity envelope and have it go from 100% to 0% where you want the freeze-frame.

have not used velocity envelope yet, can you give me the steps to do that?

thank you all for your help.

The video looked great, with the exception of some flickering in photo's and documents that I had scanned and brought into Vegas. When I do some crop and zoom movement on them, they seem to flicker during playback....like they're moving back and forth.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this and make them look solid during playback?
