Can Pan. tape 'ever' be rerecorded on?

I'm a beginner shooting test footage of anything and everything but nothing I need or want to keep. I'm using the Panasonic 60min dry tapes recommended here. I read at this site that you should never use the tape more than once.

I know the tapes are cheap in price but I've got 5 tapes with nothing but assorted junk on them and would love to record more test junk. Is it a major mistake to use these tapes one more time or am I looking for trouble. Thanks

In a pinch, it won't hurt a thing. Just don't use it too many times.

Ideally, you only want to use a tape once to avoid wear.

If you're just testing junk, I'd say no problem... But on anything you can't redo, or wouldn't want to have to redo, or well you get the idea.. use a new one... I've reused tapes when just testing new mic's etc... and no problem... but wouldn't you know it the one time I reuse a tape on something important, and I get 3 or 4 glitches... go figure? :-/

Absolutly, no problem, the tapes are "not" as delicate as is constantly being implied.

Well, that depends on the tape. I wouldn't get too cavalier with a TDK.

Thanks everyone. I was actually thinking I might put unnecessary 'stuff' on the camera heads. This is great.
