Can I use Glidecam HD1000 for HVX?

I know the Glidecam HD1000 is only up to 1.4 kg, but would it be possible with more counterweight to use the HD1000 also for the HVX?
Is there any reason why this wouldn´t work, or doesn´t make sense?


BTW: is the Glidecam the best steadycam system under 1000€?

The post on the 1000 doesn't extend far enough to handle the weight of the HVX.
The best due to the weight is the 4000.
The total weight will be a "challenge".

I've used a "Flycam", Indian version of the Glidecam 1000, to fly an HVX. While it can handle it (barely), it is too heavy and caused me serious shoulder problems.. I'm getting a Blackbird next and flying the lighter AF100.
