Can I remove On-screen display accidentally recorded?

I was using tape and backup recording with hard drive (a funeral memorial service). When the tape ran out I was not able to switch to another and relied on the hard drive backup. Now the last 20 minutes have the OSD time stamp data embedded on it. Is there a way to remove it? The frames are basically a speaker at a podium but the overlapping white lines/data ruin it.
Can I re-center frames , filter or blur these so they don't show on the finished edit? Recommendations?

p 112 of operating manual says "Bear in mind that the OSD may be recorded inadvertantly if backup recording is performed when a setting other than OFF is selected..."

You are on the right track. The best option (if you have it) would be to PNP a shot you have of the same frame BEFORE the problem occured. Then crop out the PNP to cover only the offending area. Otherwise, blur it, or cheat something else into the shot that you could maybe cover it with. Thats about it. You may also be able to "be creative" with your aspect ratio and just crop out the entire aspect ratio for the entire event.

Good Luck. :)

If you do have to re-size the frame, use After Effects. It does a pretty nice job of re-scaling video.

What does "PNP" mean? Thanks.
