I have one NTSC hpx300 and I am getting a good deal on HPX302 (PAL), we shoot weddings and events, and usually record with multi cameras and sometime we do live mixing, sometime afterward in Canopus Edius, if i buy this 302, is it possible to edit the footage in Edius and will have no problem? or is there a big problem.plz advice, thanks

Shouldnt be a problem at all as the European HPX3xx cameras can do NTSC and PAL. just change the 302 to ntsc to match your 300 :)

Actually i must apologise, dug a little deeper and it seems the 302 is an Asian model and is PAL only.. The 301 can do ntsc & pal hence my confusion sorry :(

Certainly you can put the 300 in say 1080 24p / 720 24p and the 302 in 1080 25p / 720 25p, theres only 1 frame in it. Ive never tried to mix the two on my edius 5.5 but whatever you drop into the edius project should be conformed to the projects settings.

Maybe a more experienced editor could help with wether the 1 frame/sec differance would be a problem?

yup, don't want to be mixing PAL and NTSC footage all the time.
You'll need to convert one of them to the other b/4 edit.

I've used Natress to convert footage before... http://www.nattress.com/

Before the GoPro's had a firmware update to shoot Pal we had do convert all the 30fps tp 25fps...

It's a process...

I've got a 302... I'm wondering what would be regarded as a good deal price wise???

Cheers
