Can I leave FCE4 installed?

I'm about to install Final Cut Studio 3 on my iMac. I already have FCE4 installed on the iMac. Could anyone tell me whether it would be okay to leave FCE4 on the iMac? I know that I can take Express projects and bring them into Final Cut Pro, so I'm thinking it would be okay to leave Express installed.

Any thoughts appreciated!
