I am scheduled to begin production on an action/thriller in September, but don't want to kid myself. So, could someone who is qualified, be brutally honest when answering this question?

Using the HVX200, can I produce a cinematic, "abandoned warehouse at night" type setting production for Theatrical Release and not look like a noisy, wanna be/low budget film?

I'm not an expert, but from my experience, as long as you light properly the warehouse lighting won't be an issue. As far as the transfer to film, sure, you need to shoot at 1080 in order to get good resolution.

The actors, script, shot choices and editing will make or break your movie. Noise is the least of your worries. You can shoot a great actor with the camera on your cell phone and it will look better than a bad actor shot on film.
