Can I feed a client monitor through my HVX200 from Avid Media Composer?

Back in the old days I used my PD150 camera to feed a client monitor when I was editing in the Avid Media Composer.
The setup was firewire from PC to PD150 and S-video from camera to the client monitor.
Later on I used a Canopus TwinPact 100 instead of the camera but that one can´t handle HD.

Now I´m using a HVX200 and shooting in HD and I´m missing my client monitor.

The question is: can I use the HVX200 in the same way?
Something like this: Firewire from PC to HVX and component to client monitor.

I´ve tried to do this but I can´t get it to work.

If the answer is YES, please tell me how to do it!

No. The HPX170 can do it but the HVX200 didn't have the capability to transcode FireWire input to live component output.

Thanks Barry for the quick reply.

Then I must find some other solution to the problem.

It is not easy when you don´t know what to look for.

Are grateful for advice on any other "transcoder" solution.

id look into the matrox mxo or blackmagic decklink / intensity products. though im not sure any of them will downconvert to an SD monitor. so you will likely need to buy an HD monitor

Thanks for the tips.
Now I have something to think about.

Someone who has tested one of these with Media Composer?

not to oversimplify. but both companies specifically mention avid media composer in their supported workflows.

Yes, I read it.
But at the Blackmagic Design they mentions Media Composer 6 and Windows 7.

I have win xp pro and MC 2.8.

That´s why I asked.

Apologies if I'm unclear in my English.
Uses the Google translation when I'm doubtful.

I have win xp pro and MC 2.8.
well, THAT introduces a whole other set of variables. if youre that far behind the curve. id start to say that it MAY not work... : (
