I tried a recovery program, it's not terribly important footage, but was hoping to recover for 1 shot I liked. I formatted the card accidentally in preparation for another job, slave to my own workflow (didn't lock it, so saw it unlocked, which I only do after footage has been backed up, and formatted it). Tried recovery program I used for something else recently, but says found nothing, same with AVCCAM programs, so I'm assuming HMC overwrites when formatting to completely clear card, rather than just making space available like when you delete something on PC. Can anyone clarify this for me, or suggest a program that would be able to salvage this formatted card. I put it to the side to not use it again until I get a straight answer. Thanks.
