Can filming a projected screen cause flickering?

Not a monitor, but an image cast from a projector. Looking into doing front/brack projection (instead of greenscreen) and this thought crossed my mind.

Does it, or can one shoot a screen with any shutterspeed/fps?

Yes, screen will flicker if it is out of sync with your shutter.
