Can anyone with the XDCA back unit and the 7Q do a quick test for me (as I might get the unit tomorrow)?
I’m wondering if the 4KUHD Pro-Res recorded to the 7Q from the back unit is much noisier than the internal XAVC 4K since it’s coming from the RAW signal on the FS7? On the FS700, the exact same image on the Pro-Res 7Q is a lot noisier than the internal AVCHD because there is no noise reduction on the RAW, which results in much noisier Pro-Res files.
I’m hoping this is not the case on the FS7 since there is no noise reduction on CineEl to begin with.
FYI, I know about the gamma shift issue on the FS7 + 7Q right now as well, but still wanted to check.
