GH3 Can anyone recommend an underwater housing for GH3 please?

I'm having a simple housing (really simple) made by a plastics guy, just waiting on some latches to arrive so that I can have stainless steel holds made that will keep the acrylic lens on the housing. It is very much based on the Nemo cam, only mine will utilize the remote trigger which will lead to a two-way waterproof toggle switch on the outside (amazing, try finding waterproof push-button switches rated beyond IP67) so that I can at least set focus and start/stop recording so I can utilize a shallower DOP for splits. Will likely cost me about the price of a gopro dive housing.

I'd love a GoPro, but can't afford it right now, however I can't say I prefer the one over the other in terms of in or splits footage. Each is a tool that you have to evaluate for the intended application. I think the GoPro will work for a lot of footage, but then again, noticing just how taxiing water footage is on camera's, it wont work for everything. (I had a patch in my GH2, forgot which one, and noticed that I can record anything fine, but the moment I start recording the waves of the ocean from the pier, I got a recording error - switched to Flowmotion v2.2...which I thought, given the name, was appropriate).

In terms of picture quality though, looking at the figures, the GH2 and 3 will blow the GoPro out of the water so too speak....but this goes to the realm of pixel peeping I don't like to be involved too much. One must take note of the pixel thing, but stop before you get carried away from story telling. Take note of the short coming of each camera, then decide which tool will work best for intended application and intended look & feel.

@Kevin Sawicki - The Epiccams look pretty sweet! I just finished shooting the music vid I originally posted this thread about - rented a GoPro Hero 3, worked great! I am still in the market for 1 that will fit the GH3 as I'd love to be able to use that camera in rain, snow, underwater, etc. Thanks again everyone!

The GoPro shoots amazing footage as long as you don't require stabilization, anything other than a fixed 2.8 lens or 170 degree angle, don't make a fast pan, don't need white balance, don't need low light performance, etc., etc. This demo reel was shot under conditions that optimize the GoPro. Ultra clear, shallow water under overhead sun - PERFECT for the GoPro! Toss in some clouds, lower sun angle, deeper or more turbid water and the GoPro will flail while the GH3 will capture the shot.
