I was thinking about picking up an A7S for its low light capability. One thing a friend and I talked about is possibly doing some "no-light" filmmaking. Like trying to film animals doing stuff at night. Obviously we will need some light, so we were wondering if an A7S would be able to see infrared light, such as that from an IR illuminator. Most IR illuminators use a laser diode with ~830nm or ~940nm wavelengths, which is typically the same as TV remotes, just less power.
Any info would be appreciated, a simple test would just to point your TV remote at the camera, and if you can see the LED light up when you push a button, than great!
