I got lazy Barry. But if I can get people to send me a PM I'll add that on the list.

It would be Lisa and not Witch Hunt for the canon t1i and the Thirst film I can't remember what camera it was. I'll find out later.

It's really great to see such a wide range of camera's.

I remember when we were dvx/hvx 24p only and we finally opened it up to everyone, we got like 3 entries that weren't shot on the hvx or dvx.

Great to see the fests continuing to evolve, be all-inclusive, and have a broad range of participation.

Later,
Jason

there is a great variety in the list of finalists. Gotta love that.
As much as we are tech geeks on here, it's not about the camera :)

At the resolution that I'm downloading these movies, it doesn't seem like that camera choice has made much of a difference in the overall merit of the productions.

I see much bigger payoffs when a short for dvxfest is well lit, well composed, camera movements are employed dramatically, and there's a coherent visual aesthetic. Lighting especially makes a piece stand out, more than any advantage of resolution.

I would not wish to shoot with the GH1 myself, but two pieces, Dispatch and Soloman Chase's piece in the last questfest are among my favorites. Go figure.
