Camera won't turn off!

I was using the 100A as a record deck, taking a video signal into the RCA input from a microscope, everything was fine, but when I tried to pause or turn off the camera it would not let me. Finally had to remove the battery. Has anyone had this problem?

OK . . . this may sound like a smartass question, but it's not . . .

What button were you pressing to stop it?
