Camera/VCR Button Question

Has anyone experienced the following:

I was shooting some stuff that I wanted to check emmediately. After pressing pause in record mode, I pressed the camera/vcr button, and it didn't work!
The only thing that happened is "pause" sign on top of the display was gone. I was still in record mode but now I couldn't even press the record button. It didn't work.
I ejected the tape. Put it back in again and everything was back to normal.

Before this problem I was checking some footage and went from record to vcr mode a couple of times. Maybe camera doesn't like this frequent switching or?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It's a DVX100.
Never had problems with it.
Is there anyone who would know what could cause this problem?

Thanks

Haven't seen this, exactly.

But I have had times where I *swear* I've pushed it to VCR, but it remains on Camera until I push it a second time. (100A, though)

Hm...

For me it looked like the camera wouldn't allow me to switch to vcr (as strange as it may sound) untill I reinsert the tape.
I remember hearing the transport mechanism (I was in quiet environment) disengaging from camera mode but it didn't engage to vcr mode.
Almost like it didn't have eough power to go from one mode to another.

Thanks Dan
