Camera turns itself off

Every time I start going thru the menus and take more that a couple of minutes the camera turns its self off (or seems to) and I have to turn the camera off and then back on to continue. Can this behavior be turned off?

Yes. I don't have my camera in front of me, but I think it's in Other Functions. There's a Tape Protect setting. Turn it to Standby.

It remembers me when I turn on my dvx for the first time ;D

Menu > 7. Other Functions > Tape Protect

a) Power Off
b) STBY << select this

Usually when the DVX dosen't find a certain person attractive. It would turn itself off. The only problem with mine is it never turns on.
