Hey there. I'm considering purchasing either the HMC150 or the HPX170 and need some feed back. Both of these cameras are not accessible in any shops here unfortunately. My question (hope it's not to newbie) is, which of the cameras transfers faster into the computer? I have used AVCHD cameras before and it seems the transfer rate into the computer is close to real time, in other words a 30min clip takes about 30mins to transfer in at its highest quality (footage shot at 1080i, being encoded to ProRes422). Does the footage of a P2 card come in faster? In either case having the camera it self hooked up for transfer not a deck. My system is a 24" iMac 3.06, 4GB ram, 10.5.6, FCP 6.0.5, Footage stored in a LaCie 1 TB via firewire 800. :dankk2:
