Camera Stabilisation

This could be big if it works as advertised

Its a small box full of sensors that records your camera movements and then using some clever software removes the shake, more here:

This looks like any on-sensor stabilization system ... except in a separate body.

It's not a stabilizer in the normal sense in that it doesn't stabilize the camera or sensor at all. Instead it captures the motion information and then uses software to stabilize it in post.
It's a very interesting method, but I'm very curious to see what the real limitations are. As in, how much shake can it really handle? What about motion blur?

Think Andrius has got it. Records the data to be applied in post like a live motion track by the looks of it. I'd say then like any motion track you're going to lose resolution. How much would then depend on the amount of motion. I'd also assume that in post it lets you choose the amount of stabilisation to apply.

I believe it to be a little more than that, I'm still waiting to see if the software is a plugin for popular NLE's or a standalone application.
In the sales blurb it also states there is some interpolation to create new pixels around the image border as its moved.
It would appear to be a combination of using the data from the hardware and smoothing interpolation, the example videos are impressive but do look a little soft, weather this is youtube compression of the software itself?
