GH4 Camera Splits Longer Clips Into 5min Segments?

Hello all,

I recently shot a 15ish minute interview in UHD 4k with my GH4 and, when I went to offload my footage, I noticed it had saved the clip into three smaller clips - each one about 5min.

The clips match up seamlessly in Premiere, but this can become annoying with longer clips. Is there a setting I missed?

Nope, standard for .mov or .mp4 formats... length of the clips varies by the bitrate you're using.

Every DSLRs that records to sdcard that uses the fat32 will have this, as the recording format (not codec) unto the card is based on FAT32, it will split the clips to roughly 5mins or 4-5gb each clip. Until they chance to recording format to ntsc or something else, we are stuck with seeing several clips broken down.

you mean NTFS not NTSC.

Just to add, this is a dumb thing that Panasonic did, because exFAT as used by SDXC cards don't have this limitation.
