Camera recommendation for trip to Tibet?

Hello!

I am planning a trek across Tibet and would like to capture the experience.
Tibet is known for its amazing landscapes and vibrates colors. What camera would you recommend with a budget of around $2000 give or take? What accessories would be worth purchasing for the camera? I will be doing all my video editing on a G5.

There are so many choices on the market and I need some advice. Here are some of the models I’ve check out.

• Sony HDR-FX1
• Sony Handycam HDR-HC1
• Canon GL2
• Panasonic AG-DVC30

Two points to consider: Size, low light performance.

Size: small one is easier to hide, can shoot from under your arm in temples (where shooting is usually not permited, or costs a lot) does not look too professional.

Low light: Temples are dark!
