hey just wondering if the dvx100b, when listened to closely in a completely silent room, is normal to have some noise. This noise is not recorded when filming but it is slightly noticeable only when very quiet. The sound is a slight humming noise as if a motor is running very quietly. This, I hope is normal, but the reason for my concern is because on so many other forums ppl say the dvx100 should make absolutely no noise. So to kind of explain it in detail when I first turn power to on I hear a clicking sound which I think all panasonics do, I think it has something to do with the rattle sound when camera is off and by turning it on you are engaging the ois or something, all I know is this is said to be normal on many forums. So once the click sound has stopped I hear the humming. Like I said before it is audible in a quiet room and if listened to closely. Also, I heard from someone that if you reset your camcorder back to factory settings you void the warranty. I have no idea why that would be true, but anyways thanks for any advice.
